Pyronex Pyronex is a CSS developed deflagrating pyrotechnic system, ideal for situations when noise, or vibration must be avoided. Pyronex provides a safer alternative to using high explosives for smaller applications in quarrying and demolition. The Pyronex capsules are composed of pyrotechnic materials, as opposed to high explosives, with ignition via an electrical fuse embedded in the powder. |

| Pyronex burns at a slower relative velocity than explosives, generating gases which cause a splitting of rock and concrete along the natural areas of weakness in the material to be broken. The use of Pyronex on materials such as bedding, cleavage lines and cold joints in concrete enables easy removal of rubble after detonation. |
